Young Author’s Faire

Books will be on display in the lobby of the new TCOE Administration building, located at:
6200 S. Mooney Blvd., April 4th to 8th.

Reception will be on Wednesday, April 6th from 4:30pm to 6:30pm.

Testing – April 5 – 21

Please contact your Education Coordinator if you have any questions. Please remember to complete the grade level Classroom Activity at home with your student(s) before they are signed up to complete the Performance Task on the computer at school.
PE Testing for grades 5 & 7 will follow your computer testing. Bryan will conduct this test.

Chaffee Zoo Field Trip

April 15th: We’ll enter the zoo together at 10am, head over to the seasonal Bird Show, then to a presentation by zoo educators about life cycles of different animals. After that we can wander about at our leisure and enjoy the sights and sounds of the animals. Sign up with Nancy after April 1st to reserve your spot. Contact leslie@erclc.org for more information.

Lava Beds National Monument Camp Out

April 22-23
Come discover lava tube caves and other volcanic features of the Modoc Plateau. Learn about the Modoc War and Captain Jack. Travel to the top of California for adventure and exploration. Sign up with Nancy.

Channel Islands National Park Camp Out Meeting

April 27th at 12:00 pm
If you plan on attending this camp out please come to this meeting. Sign up with Nancy beginning April 27th.

CPR & Basic First Aid Class

April 28, 9:00 am to noon. Students in 7th grade and above, and parents are welcome to attend this class. We have 25 spaces available and you must sign up with Nancy beginning April 4th. The cost of the class is $50.00 per person and will be paid by ERCLC. If you would like to receive a CPR/First Aid certification card, you will need to pay an additional $15.00 directly to the course instructor.

ERCLC Shindig

April 30, Noon – 2 PM
The Leadership Class is sponsoring the 4th annual Shindig on campus in Visalia. We need your help. If you are interested in volunteering to watch a bounce house, set-up or clean-up; please contact Bobbi@erclc.org

Egyptian Canopic Jar Workshop

Why did the ancient Egyptians mummify people? Why did they store the organs in separate jars? Come explore ancient Egyptian mummification while making an authentic-looking canopic jar of your own! The two-day workshop will be held at Visalia campus on May 3rd and May 10th, from 10-12. Wear your “get-messy” clothes. All ages are welcome! Younger students may need assistance from a parent or other helper. The best part? The head of your canopic jar unscrews to hold your treasures inside! Please sign up with Nancy by April 25th so that we can gather supplies.

Drought Adapted Landscaping Seminar

May 5 at ERCLC. 9:00-12:00. Expert information on doing your own drought adapted landscaping. There is no fee for this.

Nature Restoration Celebration – 2nd Annual

May 5 at ERCLC. 4:00 -7:00. Refreshments, music, looking at what has been done to improve the property and looking to future improvements, and just hanging out together as friends and neighbors.
