Please consider writing an encouraging letter, or ask your children to draw and color a picture for the sailors on board.

Carpinteria State Beach Campout:

Catalina Island Bake Sales:

February 13 & 14 – Enjoy our goodies and help the high school students get to Catalina Island!

Booster Club Meeting:

February 20 – 11:00 am in the Parent Lounge It’s time to get our Booster Club going again. This will be an informational meeting about why we need a Booster Club and what it does. We will also elect a new president, treasurer and secretary.  If you are interested in an officer position, please contact Becky Brown or Amber Clark. Our goal is to run the Club cooperatively so that no one person is overwhelmed with responsibilities. This is a great way to be involved in our community, support the ERCLC staff, and fundraise for special events and activities. Refreshments will be provided! We hope to have a big turnout for this very important meeting, and that it will be a new beginning for the ERCLC Booster Club!

Research Presentations:

K-6th-Tuesday, Feb. 20; 6th-12th- Wednesday, Feb. 21 @12:30 Here’s a chance for students to get public speaking experience. We want all students to come share what they have learned during their research—not by reading their papers, but by summarizing their learning in an engaging 2-5 minute presentation. We encourage visual aids (posters, examples, digital slide shows, etc.) to help the presenter and the audience. Talk to your EC if you have questions. Afternoon classes will be cancelled on these days, except for Drama on Wednesday.

Nature Restoration Workday:

February 23 – 10 am – 1 pm. Goals: improve demonstration sites, plant trees, shrubs and burn.  Bobby Kamansky, COS professor and students from COS will be working. ERCLC families are welcome to join in.

Yearbook Orders:

We will begin taking orders for 2018 ERCLC Yearbooks on March 1st.  Payment must be made when you place your order.  Cost is $16.00 each, or two for $30.00.

Young Authors’ Faire:

Book Authors from grades K-8 are invited to submit their books (fiction or non-fiction) for TCOE’s Young Authors’ Faire.  Books are due on or before March 21.  Books will be displayed at the TCOE office and there will be an Author’s Reception on April 12th. See Rose Ann or Sher for more information.

Intent to Return Forms:

ECs have Intent to Return forms for you to sign. All Intents must be returned to Heather’s office by the end of the day, March 6th in order to secure a place for your student(s) for the 2018-19 school year.  You will also use this form to notify us that you have incoming siblings planning to enroll for 2018-19.

2018-19 Enrichment Classes:

Please note we will be making a significant change to the 2018-19 Enrichment Class Schedules.  Classes for grades K-6 will be held on Mondays and Wednesdays.  Classes for grades 6-12 will be held on Tuesdays and Thursdays.
