May 1stLast day Monday/Wednesday Support classes

May 2nd – 12thAssessments

  • 9:00 am – 3:00 pm
  • 3rd-8th and 11th graders will do the four part state test.
  • 5th, 8th, and 10th graders will also pilot the new science test (no scores reported).
  • 2nd, 9th, 10th graders will do the MAP assessment.
  • Contact your EC if you forgot your testing times.

May 5thNature Restoration Celebration5:00 pm – 7:00 pm – Everyone is invited to celebrate the progress made on our drought resistant landscaping project. Music, refreshments, enjoying each other and nature. The Visalia Taiko drum group will perform. Anyone else is welcome to share their musical talent for background beauty during the celebration.

May 9thBoard Meeting4:30 pm

May 10thMuch Ado About NothingMusical Pre-Show at 6:00 / Curtain at 6:30 at the Rotary Theater in Visalia. Our high school thespian group will present one of William Shakespeare’s most popular comedies. We will have a surprise musical opening act, as well! Admission is free, with a fundraising intermission to benefit the high school trip to the Grand Canyon. We invite the whole school community to come support and appreciate our talented students!

May 12th-14thCamp Lotus – Our final campout of the year is on the American River near Coloma. Come bike, kayak, raft, hike, discover gold, or sit under a tree and read a book. Sign up with Nancy.

May 15th-19thMeeting Week

May 20th-21stMaker Faire – San Mateo – Come join us for the biggest show and tell on Earth. ERCLC has purchased a group of weekend passes to the Maker Faire for Saturday and Sunday in San Mateo. Come see what inspired ERCLC to create our own Makerspace. Make your own way, or join us on a bus leaving early Saturday and returning Sunday evening. We will stay Saturday night on the floor of a local synagogue, and it is $10 per person to confirm you are attending if taking the bus. May 23Curriculum Fair, 10am – noon – Come see what curriculum options, materials, and online resources will be available next year. Parents and staff will be available to answer your questions or share what they like (or don’t) about a particular resource. You won’t be able to take these materials home, but you can start thinking and planning for what you would like to use next year.

May 22-27High School Grand Canyon & Mesa Verde trip

May 25thRoller Towne10:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. – Doors open at 10:00 am. ERCLC students and siblings are welcome to skate for free. Chaperones are also welcome to skate for free.

May 29 – June 1Library resources are due this last week! The book-drop is available 24/7 for your convenience and the library will be open until June 1st. Please consult with your EC for all your summer check-outs.
