Grades TK, K or 1

All About Reading

All About Reading (AAR) is a comprehensive reading instruction program developed by a homeschool mom. This teaches children to learn to read from pre-reading to fluent reader. 

Grades K-3

Oak Meadow 

Oak Meadow is a Waldorf-inspired homeschool program which integrates Language Arts, Social Studies, and Science in grades K-4. Grades 5 and 6 begin to seperate Literature from the other core subjects.

Grades K-6

Moving Beyond the Page is a curriculum developed by homeschoolers that offers units incorporating Language Arts, Science and Social Studies. Flexible age ranges allow for students of nearby ages to be instructed together.

Grades 1-8

 6+1 Traits of Writing

Daily Writing Workbook- Introduces each trait and provides daily practice building towards a weekly writing prompt. Grades 1-6

Traits of Writing Packets- Uses picture books to highlight one trait and includes a short “teacher's guide” for additional activities.  Grades 1-6

Dimensions Math

By the publishers of Singapore math, Dimensions relies on manipulatives to help young students grasp mathematical concepts. Colorful pictures and easy to follow teacher’s guide appeal to the visual learner.

Grades TK-5

This curriculum uses comic book style textbooks and a student consumable workbook.  For students that are creative, visual learners and parents that enjoy puzzles and math discussions.

Grades 3-5

Our highest recommended middle school math curriculum.  Focuses on understanding of concepts and thinking mathematically. Community of support online, seamlessly transitions to our high school curriculum.

Grades 6-8.

Oak Meadow

Oak Meadow is a homeschool curriculum which integrates Language Arts, Social Studies, and Science for K-4th. In 5th grade and up the science portion may be used separately. 5th grade science is a blend of life science, earth science and physical science. Has great hands on activities using ordinary easy to get materials.Appropriate also for 6th grade.

Studies Weekly

Weekly newspaper with non-fiction background reading for elementary students. Writing prompts and directions for experiments are included. Includes an online component.

Grades K-6; 6^th grade can only be used once for grades 6-8.

Covers all of the standards with lots of details and questions.  Best used as a starting off point for further reading or investigation.
